Abigail Smigel has been diving and taking photographs since she was 16. After graduating from St. Mary's College of Maryland with majors in art and aquatic biology, she has married her interests through a career as an underwater photographer. Her images have appeared in magazines such as The Leading Edge, Explorations, and Scuba Diving, and her online portfolio can be viewed at www.abigailsmigel.com. She is also a marine science educator and writer, and currently is a member of a research team associated with the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. When not in or on the water, she lives in San Diego, California. |
